Despite the cool temperatures and cloudy skies, we ventured over to Hersheypark for the annual "Springtime in the Park" preview to see what was new and exciting.
And it's all good news:
- Fahrenheit looks nearly complete;
- Howler is up and promises to be a great ride (and a far better use of space than the virtual reality attraction it replaces);
- new branding throughout the park = a big improvement;
- my two favorite eateries (Mixed Grille and Freeman's BBQ) are back, and Mixed Grill has an additional location near the Kissing Tower;
- there is a sign up already proclaiming that the new-for-2009 attraction will be announced on July 1;
- many hours of landscaping have improved an already beautiful park space;
- the Flying Falcon has survived to see another season
Hersheypark officially opens for the season on May 2. There's still time to get those season passes!
we were there too and I got soooo sick on the flying falcon!
