Visitors to Hershey this spring and summer will notice plenty of changes around town. We'll be highlighting more of the changes and improvements in the coming weeks, but wanted to spotlight Hershey's Chocolate World today. Operated by The Hershey Company, Hershey's Chocolate World is located adjacent to Hersheypark (which is operated by Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, a separate entity). Both the exterior and interior of Chocolate World have been undergoing a transformation as the facilities modernize and expand to meet increased visitor demand. Although some of the changes are cosmetic (e.g., new bar characters introduced in the 4D show have steadily replaced the old, signage has been updated, the tour ride queue has moved), parts of Chocolate World are undergoing more extensive renovations. This year, the popular tour ride is being completely revamped for the first time in nearly a decade. If you want to see kids' favorites Gabby, Olympia and Harmony, you'll have to visit the free tour ride before mid-April as the animatronic cows are being replaced by other barnyard friends.
