Fleeting Moments

Featured on the NCA's Candy Dish Blog

I was so flattered to be featured for a second time on the National Confectioner's Association's "Candy Dish" blog—and by the kind comments by Carl, who is a gifted photographer as well as the NCA Web Content Specialist. I read Candy Dish every day, and I always look forward to the fascinating features (and photos!) there.

Although my specialty is portrait photography, I also enjoy doing food photography and dabbling in food styling for photography. Much of work I've done can be seen on my Inside Hershey blog, but I'm starting to take on some commercial food photography jobs as well. Fun!

I'm taking a little break from getting some online proof albums ready, but I wanted to post a quick sneak peek...just because I am having such a good time with the proofs from this family's session!

These three kids couldn't be more unique, and it's so much fun to take them aside and capture their individual personalities (and even more fun to talk with them between photos!) We had a fantastic location to use, with all the right nooks and crannies, stones and walls. It was a treat to get some photos of the kids with their beautiful mom, too. It was such a perfect session!

Weddings and Fun: They DO Go Together!

I recently had a chance to shoot a *spectacularly* fun wedding at one of my favorite places, the Hershey Gardens. It had rained all afternoon, and the forecast wasn't looking good for the evening nuptials. But the skies miraculously cleared just in time—and stayed clear for the evening. Perfect!

And even more perfect—Kelly and James did this wedding their way, and they kept me smiling all through the preliminary shots. Although they kept it casual, their ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt. And, as you might expect, their families and friends were a fun-loving bunch, too. I've never seen more pure joy in a wedding album!

 

Catching Up!

I have four sessions worth of proofs to upload to my web site today...but the site host is having some temporary server problems. Argh! I apologize for this delay, and I'll get those images to my clients (you know who you are!) as soon as the server problem is resolved.

In the meantime, let me post a few sneak peeks for a wonderful family I met at Children's Lake. I could have spent all day photographing the four children—they all had their own really cool personalities, and they all had a twinkle in their eyes (which I love!) Their mom and dad were so laid back and happy, which made all the kids relaxed and happy...which really made my job easy!
